Following the Government’s announcement that the country is moving into the delay phase of the management of the Coronavirus outbreak, we will be enacting some sensible, temporary changes to the way we work in order to manage risk and to help ensure the safety of our staff and our clients.

Due to the nature of our business, eliminating face-to-face interaction entirely is not a reasonable option. Property management, sales and letting is predicated on social contact, which continues throughout the whole process; From meeting and vetting new tenants, landlord, vendors and purchasers at our office to visiting clients in their homes to carry our routine inspections, viewings and maintenance.

However, following the Government’s announcement that the country is moving into the ‘delay’ phase of the management of the COVID-19 outbreak, as of Monday 16th March, we will be enacting some sensible, temporary changes to the way we work in order to manage risk and to help ensure the safety of our staff and our clients.

Property Inspections:

We will be postponing all non-essential, routine property visits to our fully managed properties until the end of April 2020. Instead, as far as possible, our staff will be contacting tenants whose properties are due inspections and running through a questionnaire to ensure that any maintenance or tenancy concerns have been logged. Photographs of the property’s condition, at the will of the tenant, will also be requested where possible. Given the fluidity of the situation we may bring forward or extend this deadline in line with official Government advice. All other normal working practices, to include property viewings and valuations remain in place.

Viewing Appointments:

We politely request that anyone that feels unwell or believes that they have encountered someone displaying symptoms such as a cough, fever or sore throat does not visit our office premises. Instead, please contact us by telephone or email and we can either reschedule your appointment or offer digital options such as Skype/Facetime meetings or virtual tours of our properties where possible.

Social Contact:

Our staff are cleaning their hands regularly and thoroughly with an alcohol-based hand rub or washing them with soap and water. We ask that the same courtesy is reciprocated from our clients. Please don’t think us rude but we shall not be shaking hands. However, we are happy to offer an elbow-to-elbow greeting.

We very much appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

There’s no better way to sell or let your home.
